Professores e alunos da EMEBS Helen Keller foram conferir a exposição ÍNDIA, sua Arte e Cultura milenar, no CCBB - 

Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil.

Ninguém melhor que o Prof. Bruno para explorar em Libras a riqueza de detalhes e informações desta maravilhosa exposição!

Nem mesmo o mal tempo da noite do dia 26 de abril, fez com que os alunos perdessem a oportunidade de conhecer com seus professores bilíngues, a história e o modo de vida deste intrigante país, a Índia.

 

Helen Keller School's Teachers and Students went to exhibition  "INDIA, its art and milenar culture" at CCBB - 

Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil.
There's no other better person to explain in Brazilian Sign Language all the richness of details and informations of this wonderful exhibition!
Neither the bad weather on April 26th stopped the Students to miss the great opportunity of getting to know the history and way of life of this intriguing country called India, along with their Teachers. 

TDAH é tema de discussões dos profissionais da HK

O prof. Marcos Medeiros, que participa da formação no Grupo

 de Trabalho em DOT/Educação Especial, trouxe para o horário de Jeif da EMEBS Helen Keller a discussão da última reunião em SME: o Transtorno do Déficit de Atenção com Hiperatividade (TDAH), uma síndrome caracterizada por desatenção, hiperatividade e impulsividade, causadora de prejuízos a si mesmo e aos outros em pelo menos dois contextos diferentes, geralmente em casa e na escola/trabalho.

A contribuição do Prof. Marcos foi acolhida com dúvidas, 
questionamentos e sugestões de estratégias para lidar com estes alunos.

Estas discussões são sempre bem-vindas pela riqueza de informações e

 reflexões, estimulando a troca de experiências entre os profissionais e a 

avaliação das práticas pedagógicas na Unidade Escolar.

Teacher Marcos Medeiros has been joining a course offered by Municipal Education Department which has been studying some Teaching/ Learning Issues. He brought to our school during a Teacher's meeting the highlights of Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity. That's a syndrome characterized by desattention, hyperactivity and impulsitivity and it brings to children problems in two different contexts: at home and at school/ work.
This value contribution of Teacher Marcos was held with doubts, questionings and suggestions made by HK Teachers about how to deal with these Students.

This kind of discussions is always welcome, because they bring us so many informations and reflections. It is always great to exchange with colleagues experiences and new ways of dealing with these Students.

Projeto "Aluno Monitor"

Muito orgulho desta turma!!

A Profa. Vera Cristina, OSL, é a idealizadora do projeto "ALUNO MONITOR", que tem por finalidade a consolidação da Identidade Surda das crianças do Fund I através do contato com os jovens do Fund II em situações de aprendizagem.

Estes alunos atuam como "contadores de histórias em Libras", a língua natural de comunicação dos surdos brasileiros, e servem como referência de Identidade e Cultura Surda para as crianças em fase de aquisição e ampliação da fluência na Libras. 

                                                 

As atividades são divertidas tanto para as crianças quanto para os jovens, que se sentem valorizados e se esmeram em performances cada vez mais elaboradas, num exercício constante de criatividade e versatilidade.

O projeto acontece às segundas e terças-feiras no período da tarde, após o horário de aula do Fund II e é um sucesso comprovado!

Teacher Vera Cristina is the brain of this project named "Monitor Student". This project aims Elementary School deaf children building their Deaf Identity by getting used to live with teenagers from Junior High in many different learning situations.
Junior High Students work as "Brazilian Sign Language Storytellers". They bring to children the Deaf Identity as well as Deaf Cultural stuff, in the very moment children are developing theirselves and getting better at Brazilian Sign Language fluency.
All activities are funny to both children and teenagers groups, because they feel valued and work hard in their well-built performances. This is always a work of great creativity and versatility.
This project happens on Mondays and Tuesdays after morning classes and it is a greatest success!!

Projeto ÁGUA...sob múltiplos olhares

Durante os meses de março e abril, os professores do Fund II desenvolveram um interessante projeto interdisciplinar com os alunos dos períodos da manhã e noite, cujo tema foi a "ÁGUA".

O trabalho levou à reflexão e conscientização da comunidade escolar em relação à cultura de preservação da água,  mostrando suas múltiplas formas de uso e a sua importância para a vida no planeta e para a história dos povos.

Também estudaram os diferentes seres que vivem nos rios, mares e lagos e conheceram histórias de seres lendários.

 O trabalho interdisciplinar gerou produções incríveis e várias instalações tomaram conta dos espaços da escola!!

A ação conjunta dos professores sob múltiplos olhares 
proporcionou aos alunos ricos momentos de construção
de conhecimento, reflexão e conscientização ambiental.

Parabéns aos Professores Fund II !!

During March and April, Junior High Teachers developed a very interesting multi subjects project with their Students. Teachers worked together with morning and evening Students and the project theme was "water".

This work brought reflection to Students: School Comunity got aware of water preservation, as well as being able of use water in very different ways. So, Students realized how important water is to all kinds of lives in Earth Planet and to all people's history.

       Students studied fauna and flora which habitat is rivers, oceans and lakes, too. Water legends and myths were also studied by the Students.

       This multi subjects work came to incredible works and art installations made by our Students. And they are all over school!!

     This work developed by a great part of our Teachers gave to Students so rich moments when they were able to build their own reflection, conscientization and knowlegde about the environment.

EMEBS HK na 11ª REATECH

Alunos e professores da HK estiveram presentes em mais esta edição da Feira Internacional de Tecnologias em Reabilitação, Inclusão e Acessibilidade, no Centro de Exposições Imigrantes em São Paulo.

A REATECH conta com 300 expositores das mais novas tecnologias acessíveis, produtos e serviços para pessoas com deficiência, em uma área de
32 mil m2.

O evento já faz parte do calendário da comunidade surda de São Paulo e dos profissionais da área.

A grande novidade deste ano para a EMEBS HK foi o espaço reservado às alunas do noturno, que puderam expor e vender seu artesanato e ficaram realizadas com a oportunidade.

HK' Students and Teachers attended the International Fair of Technology in Rehabilitation, Inclusion and Accessibility's last edition at the Centro de Exposições Imigrantes in São Paulo.

There were about 300 expositors at REATECH this year. They presented the lastest technologies in acessibility as well as products offered to people with disabilities, in a total area's space of 32.000 m2.

This event is already in São Paulo's Deaf Community Calendar as well as the professionals who work in this field.

This year, the biggest news was a reserved space for HK's night time Students. They were allowed to expose and sell their homemade work and they were so happy about it.
